Sheila Morris Thorpe, 74, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on December 5, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  She was born on February 19, 1942, in Malad City, Idaho.

Although she lived and worked in many towns and cities throughout her life, she considered Tooele City, Utah her home where she has resided since 1983 with her sweetheart, Lyman Hinman Thorpe.  While living in Tooele, she worked as a clerk for the Third District Court, both in West Valley City and Tooele County, for a total of 26 years.  Sheila is survived by her husband Lyman (“H”) of 54 years, her two sons, Brendan (Cami) Thorpe and Cameron (Annalese) Thorpe, and her daughter, Amber (Brian) Curtis, as well as 12 perfect grandchildren.  She also leaves behind, her brother Craig (Shauna) Morris, and sisters, Saundra (Bob) Callister, Karen (Ken Johnston, and Sherma (Kip) Parker.  She is preceded in death by parents, Glen and Faye Morris.

Sheila was a perfectionist in everything she did.  She has many talents which include:  singer, pianist, music director, beauty queen, and softball player—to name a few.  She was a loving, nurturing mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend.  Her life was dedicated to the service of others.  She was a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.   She was an example of selflessness.  She would never consider including crusts or edges on her frequently baked brownies to be delivered to others.  Funeral services were held on December 10, 2016.  She was laid to rest at the Tooele Cemetery.
